took advantage of some good weather during the lunar new year holidays and rode the scooter to
maokong (
貓空), famous for its tea plantations and tea houses... some personal photos.
in full gear. the protection is mostly from the sun and air pollution. temperatures were in the mid 20s/70s (°C/°F)
an unusually clear day for taipei in january...
since the maokong
gondola has been suspended tea houses in the area have been a lot less busy
waiting for the water to boil
you get the works; pots, cups, strainers, tongs..
finally..
you're not supposed to drink the first pot
taiwan tea... (just like any other tea... pretty much like hot water if you ask me)
